The Great Gatsby:   Imagery of Colors  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   F. Scott Fitzgerald used the imagery of colors in his masterpiece The Great Gatsby.   The colors are used very frequently as symbols, and the hues create atmosphere in different scenes of the book.   White is a clean and fresh color, but the author shows how it can be tainted as well.   Next, yellow illustrates the downfall of moral standards of the people of West Egg.   Lastly, green, the most dominant color in the book, symbolizes wealth and Gatsby's unattainable dream. To Gatsby, Daisy represents innocence and purity; however, Fitzgerald uses different shades of white to veil her corruption.   Daisy is solely described as "dressed in white", she powders her face white, and she mentions her "white girlhood".   The millionaire describes this perfect princess figure to be "high in a white palace the king's daughter, the golden girl."   On the other hand, Fitzgerald portrays the way of life in West Egg as a wretched place when "four solemn men dressed in suits are walking along the sidewalk with a stretcher on which lies a drunken woman in a white evening dress.   Her hand, which dangles over the side, sparkles cold with jewels.   Gravely the men turn it at a house - the wrong house.   But no one knows the woman's name, and no one cares." Yellow stands out as a symbol of corruption and decay.   Materialism has corrupted the citizens of East and West Egg because they center everything on money. When Gatsby entertains this wealthy class, the orchestra plays "yellow cocktail music".   Even Gatsby believes that he can win Daisy back with his money - thus he is described as wearing a "caramel-colored suit" when he lies about his past to Nick.   The most important symbol, however, is Gatsby's car.   The car becomes the main topic of conversation among the townspeople after it kills Myrtle and a witness specified this "death car" to be yellow. Fitzgerald used green most frequently to symbolize Gatsby's love for Daisy Buchanan.   Daisy rejected Gatsby because "rich girls don't marry poor boys", so her philosophy compelled him to become wealthy.   Gatsby described Daisy's voice as "full of money" and he acquired millions of green dollars in the hope that Daisy would love him again.   Also, Gatsby moved into his mansion so that he could live near the Buchanans, and at night the millionaire watches "a single green light, minute and far away, that might have been at the end of a dock.

Knowledge is Power, but knowledge does not always come with power. Knowledge is the state of awareness or understanding gained from experience or study learning specific information about something. This means a person has the resourcefulness to obtain and criticize useful and informative information in order to become well informed citizens who can make intelligent decisions based upon their understanding and awareness of everyday situations. Does this make them powerful? Is a question that creeps into ones mind? Well, power is said to be the ability or capacity to act or perform effectively. Without knowledge, how can this ability to perform effectively, be possible? Indeed, it cannot. This proves that knowledge is very much a necessity to gain Power. Education is the key to success is one of the sayings that one hears throughout their college life. It is invariably true that every person who is knowledgeable leads a successful life. Education plays an important role in promoting a nations economic growth, as well. When you look at Americaà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s rise to power during the past war era it is easy as well as trivial to attribute it to the abundance of natural resources and surplus number of new inventions. But, really we must consider how those inventions came about and how those natural resources were utilized to a productive end. More importantly than what made America the most powerful country in the world is why it became the most powerful country. It wasn’t luck, or coincidence or the fact that they had abundant resources but because they laid a firm foundation for their people by educating them and making them valuable members of the society who could meet the demands of the competing world. Investment in higher education is worthwhile because how much you spend on it right now definitely will make up for the amount it makes you gain later in life.

Research Gaps The absence of detailed research on the role of motivation for workers returning to the Australian Public Service post workplace injury has been a major issue for this report. According to the previous research papers, the role of motivation on Australian Public Servants lacks depth. Lack of in-depth study in the context of the research proposal has resulted in insufficient or limited information. Therefore, the conclusions drawn about the research topic are not supported by appropriate kinds of literature and viewpoints of different authors. However, it can also be seen that complete research about the topic has not been conducted. For example, appropriate emphasis on the role of motivation has not been found in the previous researches making it difficult to gain a deep understanding the effectiveness of motivation (Beehr, 2014). Lack of detailed research also hindered the estimation of the total number of successful cases of the Australian Public Servants with workplace injury retu rning to work. This provided less opportunity to compare the different data. Moreover, the research topic also lacks recent investigations thereby, not providing the latest information about the research topic. Problem Statement The issue in the research is the effectiveness of motivation on the Australian Public Servants with workplace injury and convincing them to return to work. According to previous studies, it can be seen that though motivation has helped the Australian Public Servants to return to work instead of having a workplace injury, it has been unsuccessful to a certain extent as well (Cho Perry, 2012). In spite of motivating the Australian Public Servants, some of them have not returned to work post workplace injury.
